Ivy's Nap Time

When Ivy naps, especially when she's extra tired, I try to keep the kids a little quieter so we can take full advantage of nap time.
For my kids quiet time (if they've earned it)= CARTOONS. My kids love cartoons. We use TV as a privilege in our house so the kids love when they get TV time.
On this occasion even Lola was excited and loved just chillin with her brothers.
My little "bundle" of joy. All rested after her nap.
Without her winter "bundle". I love this girl. So Cute!

White Rock, San Juan County

Russell took the boys out hiking after Christmas at a place in town called White Rock. The girls and I stayed home because it was chilly; however the boys had a great time!
 Peek A Boo
The sun was a little too bright for pictures....
In true form though Wyatt is always able to get out a funny face!
Trying to get wet in 30 degree weather
There is a little stream below where the boys were trying to catch things with their hands

Climbing to the top of the mountain!
There is a pavilion out there with an amphitheatre. The boys had fun climbing the huge stairs.
 Testing the frozen ground

 Trying to ice skate!
 Climbing, always climbing
Russ said that at this point Wyatt said "Dad I can't go any further, my legs are too skinny."
 Kings of the Mountain!
Cheezin it in the rock caves

Santa Came!

Daddy and the Girls waiting for the boys to wake up!
Wyatt was super excited and as soon as he found out Santa came he was up and at 'em. He couldn't wait to get out of his room.
Evan, on the other hand, could of had a few more hours of sleep!
Wyatt trying to sneak a peek
Evan still trying to wake up. He doesn't like the camera in his face first thing in the morning!
Lola's Face... Ha Ha I love it!
I make the kids take a picture under the tree before they can open presents. However in the last couple of years I've noticed these pictures don't turn out well because the kids are so distracted.
Try number 3 with the top of Lola's head. Oh well, Ready... Set.... Open Presents!
Lola was more fun this year because she actually had a clue about what was going on. She liked all the bright wrapping, and fun noises. She loved all the candy too!
 Evan digging into his stocking
Wyatt's favorite toy of the year! He had asked for one for a long time and Santa brought him....
Buzz Lightyear! The one that talks and flies with karate chop action. He loves it. He played with it all day.
Evan and the classic light bright.
Buzz Lightyear Operation. One of Evan's new favorite games
Lola and her new kitchen, it makes lots of noise and has lots of fun things to do.
Her glow worm. This was kind of special because I had one as a little girl too. It was fun to share it with her. The classics never go out of style.

Evan showing off his new loot.
Lola loved the candy. It is kind of funny because my boys love sweet, gummy candy.... Lola true to her gender. Loves CHOCOLATE!
All she did all morning was eat chocolate.
The aftermath of Santa's generosity. The kids must have been good this year!
Mom and the girls. Rockin my new jammies!
Lola with more chocolate.

This Christmas was great and even more so because all of us were together as a family. I love being able to watch these kids grow up. I sometimes think about Mary especially this time of year and how much she loved our Savior. What a blessing to be His mom, just as it is a great blessing to be the mother of 4 extremely special children of our Heavenly Father.

Christmas Eve Minute to Win it!

It's not easy being green! Each year Russ and I get each other pj's for Christmas Eve. This year he didn't quite hit the mark with his "funny" joke.  But as any good wife should I bucked up and wore them that night and Christmas morning. All I have to say is pay backs can be rough. The boys are extra cute though.
 Lola opening her jammies
Each year we get together on Christmas Eve, and for the last few years we've played minute to win it. It is always a hoot to watch but most of the evidence we get on video and not still photo's.
Here is a little bit of the after math.
Ivy was just sleepy and was mad we were so loud. Finally Nali got her to zonk out.
Portia playing referee between a jealous Sariah and a needy Lola. As you can see Turner was a lot of help.
And the winners are.... Russell and Leilani! Leilani took the trophy home this year. They had the most points after all the games.
Lola hanging out with Uncle Lee. She loves him so much!
The kids are so excited for Santa to come tonight; luckily tonight is a night they go to bed without much fuss!
