Playin' at the Park

The kids love to go to the park, and if they have a choice their favorite park is the one at the elementary school; which I have to say they do have some fun toys. Last weekend we went out and spent sometime playing before it got too hot and we had to come home. Evan and Wyatt at the top of the chain climb Wyatt loves to play with balls. He is a big soccer fan.
Dad helping him play basketball.
Trying to play catch with mom. I was chasing him all over trying to get a good, clear, close picture of him. This was all he would tolerate.:)
They call this the zipper, it is pretty fun. You hang and it slides across the top and then slides back kind of like a two way zip line. Wyatt didn't like it very much. This one is my favorite but trying to hold my own body weight seems to be totally different now than when I was 10.
Evan climbing to the top of the slides
Russ trying to show me how this toy works. He looks like he is having a great time!
The boys were trying to block the sun from their eyes before they went down the slide.
Lola was trying to take a nap on the sidelines while we played, the noise was too much though and she just ended up fussing most of the time.
Wyatt hanging on for his life :) his little arms look like they are going to break!

Lola's Blessing

Lola's blessing day was September 5th 2010. She is so gorgeous, It still amazes me how beautiful she is. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed my life with her, and her brothers. Lola in her dress, Her Chee made her little baby bracelet, and my uncle Curtis made her beautiful moccasins. The blanket is actually mine from my blessing day many moons ago. She was a little unsure about all the lace and frills. She was also a little bit unsure about all the attention and people at our house. This day was fun for me because I got to put her in the beautiful frilly dress which I've never done before, to say the least she was tolerant bless her heart; but not too happy about all the fluff and frill around her cheeks. She just got more agitated when we strapped her in her car seat to take her to church. I did have a pretty little bow to put in her hair but she was not willing to wear it. What can I say were a pretty casual family:) Chee, Sylvia, my brothers, and my family
Russell's family
Chee, Sylvia, my family, Grandma Kathleen, Jason and Jordan
Our beautiful little family. Wyatt was tired of taking pictures at this point
Jordan, my family, Jason, and Grandma Kathleen
Daddy and his little princess!
At this point in my life I could not imagine life being any greater. Blessing a new baby is always a spiritually uplifting experience. When I look in her eyes I can see the love of my Heavenly Father. Little girls are so special, and it has been wonderful partaking of her spirit in our home. She is full love, joy, and trust which never faileth. She will forever be my first girl and that is a bond that I hope we can grow and cultivate over our time on this earth. I love her with all my heart and am so grateful for her in my life.

How Cute is This?

I love this photo! Last week my family came down for Lola's baby blessing and Evan and Wyatt were so excited for family to be here. We told them that Grandma, Jason, and Jordan were going to be coming after dinner... so after dinner they took their little lawn chairs out to the curb and hunkered down to wait for them to come. Luckily they only had to wait about 15 minutes before they arrived; which was just enough time to capture this cute little moment.

Messy Faces

The kids have yet to make it through a day without a messy face. I sometimes can not believe what they smear on their faces or what accidentally finds it way there..... This camera is stuck to Evan's face when his Chee is here......Cupcakes smeared on the cheeks with the first bite....Cupcakes at the last bite!
Beautiful, handsome Wyatt.....African Bushman Wyatt!

Watching me Grow

Lola is six weeks as of yesterday. I can't believe how fast she is growing. As you can see she is putting on weight and getting longer everyday. Evan does the cutest thing with her. Whenever Evan is scared or afraid he sings I am a Child of God, it just makes him feel safe. When Lola cries he wants to share his comfort song with her. He sings it to her and most of the time it helps calm her down too and she just looks at him and coo's and just watches him sing. It is so sweet!
He likes to hold her, luckily she is a little more durable than she used to be. He is trying to hold her head so "it doesn't fall off" as he says.
Look at that beautiful face!

Trying to ignore the camera....
I was a little over zealous in buying hair accessories before she was born; I knew she'd have a ton of hair so I did. Now however, she doesn't really like them. I try to put something on her at least for part of the day so she'll get used to it, but if it comes to crying over the bow or smiling for mommy... I'll take smiling any day.
I don't know why this picture didn't turn, so you'll have to turn your head to look at it. I love these kids so much! I have truly been blessed.
Here is her don't mess with me face.

Evan's First Day of School

Look at how grown up he is! I can't believe how big he is getting. This year he is in Tiny Tots Preschool again with Lana Lee. He was really excited to go because he loves his teacher. It will be a big change for him when he goes to kindergarten next year and has a new teacher. This year he acts like the senior in high school, acting like he already knew everything there was to know about pre-school. He wasn't nervous and when he came home said he knew all about school and seemed annoyed that I was trying to prod him with so many questions. To him it was just another day of school. He did however like all the attention he was getting in getting ready for school, all the pictures, etc. Wyatt was sad that he doesn't get to go to school yet, so all morning he and Evan played pretend school and before Evan left, Wyatt wanted to show off his laptop that they'd played with at "school" When he came home he told me how they had colored, painted, and read books. His favorite part of school is still snack time because he gets kool-aid (mom doesn't buy kool-aid that often so it is one of his favorites.) Thankfully he loves school, and learns more each and every day.

Whose kids are these?

Don't get me wrong, I love my children very much, but on days like this..... I can't but help laugh and cry about the chaos they've created. On this particular day I had a primary meeting upstairs, I told the boys to play by themselves and they went downstairs and proceeded to spill 40lbs of dog food all over my basement. And spill is not the right word they didn't just dump it out, they strategically placed piles of it all over. They initially tried to feed the dogs and just put it in their bowls, but the chaos grew from there. they had is all over the floor, all over their kennels, the carpet, the couch, the hallway, and even the bathroom. Needless to say I was very upset, but when I walked downstairs I couldn't help but laugh. The look on their faces knew they were in trouble, but they were also a little proud of themselves too. As punishment I told them they needed to clean it all up on their own. They worked at it for over 3 hours and finally Russ and I had to sweep it all into piles and they picked up the piles a little better than their original plan.
Wyatt, bless his heart, was trying my patience the most because he decided it was best to pick up the dog food one piece at a time, which is why it took so long. :)
It constantly amazes me the mischief they can find/create and the short amount of time it takes to totally turn my world of order upside down. It amazes me more how their sweet smiles, and luvs and kisses can almost always melt my heart into submission and the whole situation can be forgotten.
