Snowman

We got lots of snow this year, and Evan was super excited to build a snowman. Evan and Daddy spent part of the morning putting together their snowman. Daddy working on packing down the snow.

About half way through the gut and legs fell out of the snowman. Evan quickly tried to pack the snow back together to fix it.

Working to pack in the snow and keep it from falling apart. Unfortunately the next week was fairly warm and our snowman only lasted a few days; but Evan had a blast building him so that is what counts!

Tree Hunting

My favorite holiday tradition is quickly becoming our annual Christmas tree hunt. This year we went out near Devil's canyon to cut our tree. It was a warm day but had snowed a few days before, making it wet and muddy but at least it wasn't freezing. The boys love helping every year. This year it was Evan's turn to pick out the tree. Wyatt as always was just happy to be there. This, we thought, was going to be our tree so we took pictures and then Evan choose another one. Lola was asleep in the truck so Mom stayed behind with her so these are the only pictures we got.This is Russ getting ready to cut down the first tree but Evan quickly choose another one and the "men" relocated while mom stayed behind.This is the actual tree that went in our house after they cut it down and brought it back. Wyatt was a little cold because he couldn't keep his hands out of the snow.Russ putting on the lights. Evan and Wyatt got to decorate the tree all by themselves this year. Mom and Dad had minimal input which was scary, uplifting, and a little liberating for mom. The final product. The kids did a great job this year as they do every year. I love getting our tree each year. One fun thing about our tree this year is that the tree itself was crooked so no matter which way the tree sat in the holder it was always tipsy. It did make it through the holiday season without tipping over so we couldn't ask for more.

Thanksgiving 2010

This year Thanksgiving was super special because we got to be with MOST of my family; which hasn't happened for a long time. Because we live far away we don't always get to hang out with everyone so it is extra special when we do. Two of the things I'm most grateful for...
My own little turkey... just kiddingAs we started eating the boys ate as quickly as possible because they wanted to play with their cousins. Well soon after they left there seats we found them picking the marshmellows off the Jello salad. It was so cute instead of getting scolded, the parents just took pictures and let them have at it. I think they were most grateful for "smarshmellows" as Wyatt calls them.

My Husband, My boys, My sweet baby girl, our home, Russ' job, our life, family, and friends. I truly have been blessed and couldn't ask for much more.

Rice Cereal

While we were up at my Mom's for Thanksgiving we decided to start Lola on rice cereal (in hopes she'd soon start sleeping through the night, which still hasn't happened) She's really open to new things and gave it a good try.

Now she loves rice cereal and eats wonderfully from a spoon. She has always been a great eater and is good at this now too. Lola I love watching you grow every day!

Lola's Growing

Lola is now 4 months. She is a happy baby and loves to smile.Cheese! She has discovered her hands and feet and loves to investigate them everyday.
She hates tummy time, and still hasn't rolled over yet

Although she is getting closer everyday.

She loves a bath, and Mommy love to play with her hair.

She is moving a lot more, kicking, and waving her arms

Her brothers are taking care of her more as she becomes more durable

He smiles and has discovered how to blow bubbles

She has started eating rice cereal

Sleeps most of the night waking up only once to eat

She makes our family happy and bright

Fall Fun

I think this picture says it all! We love fall time. There's hunting, cooler weather, and tons of leaves in our yard. The boys love to help daddy rake so then they can jump in them over and over.
I think this photo is so cool.
