Real Food

Because Ivy is our last baby and such a good little eater; I waited a little longer than normal to start feeding her rice cereal.
The first time though is always so fun, Ivy still makes faces every time we introduce a new food
She took right to it though, and has been a great eater of real food.
She loves to eat squash and pears,
She also now likes yogurt bites and bits of real cereal.
My last baby is growing up and as much as I don't want it to happen I have to learn to let go a little bit. Rice cereal is the first step in that direction. Next, it would be nice to get her to sleep through the night!

The Great Birthday Weekend

The weekend between the boys' actual birthdays we had a super weekend of 3 parties; which will now and forever be known as the Great Birthday Weekend of 2012!
Later Saturday Evening we had a family BBQ to celebrate the boys' birthdays, it was so cold...
but the boys had to enjoy their new toy! Russ and I got the boys a new trampoline for their Birthdays.
Yes, this is my sweet husband standing out in the snow barbecuing our dinner. He was such a trooper!
As always the hardest part of the storm hit while he was trying to cook dinner :)
We had hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, salad, etc.
It was fun to get together and to celebrate 2 of the greatest boys in my life! We topped the day out with Strawberry Shortcake and Ice Cream and of course more presents!

Happy 4th Birthday Wyatt

Happy Birthday Wyatt!
Look who's 4! Wyatt had a Buzz Lightyear Party this year!
He and his friends all went to Star Command for Space Ranger training.
We decorated with party blowers, figurines, balloons, and all the trimmings.

Each guest was welcomed to star command with a badge in the shape of a rocket. As each training station was completed I put stickers on their badge. At the end of the party when all their stickers were put on their badge we they "earned" their space cake!
We had a fun banner with pictures of the him over the past year and of course you can't have a Buzz Lightyear party without an appearance from Woody!
When your friends arrived you guys played with your blower toys AGAIN!
Luckily no one lost an eye all weekend long.
Our first training station was physical training, we had an obstacle course to go through with stations such as: Slinky Dog Stretching,
 Martian Walking,
Buzz's Space Ranger Walk,
  Bullseye's Galloping,
 Jessie's Lasso Throwing, etc.

The next training station was called "Alien Identification"
We had the kids play "pin the tail on the donkey" but with the alien's eyes.
 Wyatt giving his best guess.
Our next training station was Rocket Ship Building
we gave the kids an apple box and some craft supplies and told them to have at it.
some of the guest were a little small and just wanted to play in the box or with the left over balloons,
but the older kids had a great time letting out some of that creative energy.

Wyatt was mad because his flaps weren't up and "flapping." Notice his "seat belt"
 Evan's rocket ship
Wyatt feeling much better; we used balloons to prop up his flaps. Thank heavens for duct tape!

 Present time!
Wyatt loved all of his gift and took lots of time to open each one

We got him a Toy Story cake from DQ which my Mom brought down from Bountiful, the wonders of dry ice.

Make a Wish.... And blow out those candles!
Wyatt I love you so much and am so glad you are 4! You are such a fun kid and I am so looking forward to all the new things you'll learn this year. Happy Birthday Buddy

Happy 6th Bithday Evan!

Happy Birthday Evan!
Guess who's 6! I can't believe how old you are getting. This year we had your friends come over for a great party!
You wanted a balloon party so we decorated with balloons....
banners, pictures, and lots of balloon bouquets.
This was for a game we played. Each guest earned tickets through out the party for good behavior, winning games, etc. At the end you cashed in the tickets for chances to pop the balloons with darts. There were lots of fun prizes inside.

Of course we had a balloon cake. Each friend got their own little balloon cake

It had been a long day of party prep, thanks goodness for Grandma who helped out with the girls all day long!

When your friends arrived, we gave them each a blower toy. They turned out to be a hit,
you guys kept trying to knock each other out with your toy.
Your friends were so fun and crazy!
We played a game where each of you tried to keep 2 balloons up in the air for the longest time
It was so fun. We played a few rounds; for your party I think we ended up blowing up over 200 balloons. It was great

We also had a balloon relay where you had to walk with the balloon in your hip across the yard and back.
 Wyatt and Ryan totally cheated!
You guys had fun trying to keep the balloon from falling out

Ivy, as always, is a patient on looker.
You got lots of presents from your friends.

 Cheez!
 So Cute!

 Trying to steal the spotlight!
 Happy Birthday Evan!
 Blowing out those candles
I let you guys eat cake in the living room and some of you and your friends got carried away with the frosting. Logan was the best, by the time he went home he was covered in frosting!
 Cashing in those tickets
We had so much fun at your party Evan, I'm so glad you had a great time.
