Foy Lake

My boys LOVE to fish!
This is out at Foy lake in Monticello, which is a huge blast from the past for me because my dad used to take us fishing there when we were younger.
Wyatt likes to eat the "bait." We have a hard time keeping him out of the "smarshmellows"
After getting the boys set up with their poles and in between getting hooks out of the mouth's of the boys fishes, Russ was able to get some fishing in too. He didn't catch too many.
Helping the boys get the fish off their hooks.
Wyatt was good to fish for a little bit, but not too patient. After a while he tried feeding "smarshmellows" to the fish who had already been caught.
Evan and I caught the most fish, Evan more than me. He must have had the lucky hook that day because I think he caught 4 by himself.
We all had a great time and had an even better time eating our yummy fish. The only downside is the bones.

Summer Chores!

For the last 7 years I have mostly been pregnant so every summer I have been able to get out of helping mow the lawn because "I'm Pregnant!" Well this year.... I'm NOT!
It didn't take long for Russ to exploit the fact and I ended up mowing the front lawn. He kept saying he'd get to it but I just couldn't wait anymore, it was too long!
 Lola running from the mower.
 Hi Dad!
Ivy and Russell stayed inside where it was cool. Truth be told I didn't mind it too much and enjoyed getting out in the sunshine after a long winter; and more than that it feels great not to be in my 3rd trimester this summer!

Too Dang Cute!

Ivy is such a happy baby, and loves to laugh.
Her favorite person, for now, is Mom. But dad is a close second. Where I was behind the camera we got lots of fun laughing shots.
Ivy you make me smile and I love your attitude. She always make me feel better.

Night Night!

I don't think there is anything more peaceful or sweet than watching my babies sleep.

T-Ball part 2

As the season progressed the kids got better and better; when they were focused. Trying to get ten 4-5 year olds together and "in sync" for the game is always a big challenge.
Luckily they had great coaches who are just big kids themselves and they were able pull together the team huddle just in time!
Wyatt kinda lost focus about 1/2 way through the season and was content to just play around which drove Russell crazy.
Evan, as always, tried his best and wanted to do a good job.
His team started getting a little aggressive about fielding the ball so his coaches started having them line up in a line and each kid took turns fielding the ball and throwing the first to avoid the dog pile on the ball.
 Wyatt chatting with his friends...
 ...and watching the grass grow.
I think with all 4 year old boys there is bound to be at least one wrestling match.
No matter his focus Wyatt is always a great hitter. He has a fairly level swing and hits hard!
Running on the other hand is not his forte
He likes to round home before heading to first every game....
true to his flair he has to slide into home!
Evan is an good player and likes to do well so I think he is going to grow up to be a stellar athlete if he wants too.
He runs really fast around the bases and has great form. It is fun to watch them grow from season to season.
Cheering on her brothers, while hanging out with her dad!
 hitting the ball....
...and rounding home before taking off for first!
 My brown eyed girl!
waiting for the ball to roll into his mitt.
Evan throwing to first. He has got quite an arm.
Daddy with Miss Ivy. I'm so grateful for a husband who loves his kids, and wants to be apart of the things they do.
 Showing some sportsmanship.
 Good Game Grey Team!
 Grey Team 2012
The kids had so much fun this season, next season Evan will be in coach pitch and Wyatt will have another season of T-ball. They've grown in their skill and had a lot of fun doing so.

Cute Fam!

Three of the cutest kids I know, but one is missing....
 There she is!
