Wyatt's 3!

This kid loves to cook out! I think every year I've asked what he wants to do for his birthday and his response is always to cook out. He is so excited to be 3 because now he thinks he is a Big Boy!Dad supervising the fire as always. These 2 little boys could light themselves on fire faster than they could decide it was a bad idea to play in the fire in the first place. Boys will be boys what can I say.Mommy trying to help the boys with dinner. Wyatt is a little less than focusedWe Love Hot Dogs and Chips!Wyatt wanted a strawberry shortcake for his birthday. It was hard enough to light the candles on a chilly, windy April day; without their over enthusiastic help. However after a few tries we got his candles lit.Mom trying to keep Evan from stealing his thunder, ha haYeah! Birthday wishes are so much fun.I think Evan loved the cake the most. He asked for a big piece, which he ate, followed by 2 others before the evening was up.Life is good!No matter how big he gets I hope he always needs a little help from his mom. Wyatt loves to: read books, play outside on his bike/motorcycle, you play the best pretend motorcycle I've ever seen, swim, camp out and fish, watch Phineas and Ferb, play dinosaurs and dragons, and go hunting.

Some cool things about this past year are: you are completely potty trained, know your colors, shapes, and are learning your letters, you can count and are learning to recognize your numbers, you sleep in your own big boy bed all night long, and you are an awesome big brother.

Things I want to remember: you are just like you mom, headstrong and committed to what you believe, you always do first and think later, you are so cute and have the best smile you can almost always "cheese" your way out of trouble. You are the biggest ball of energy, when you do settle down though you always give the best loves and love to sit on mom's lap. You are my never ending ray of sunshine.

Apparently at this point I was in the way.

Wyatt loves presents, some of his favorites this year were his bow and arrow, his bubble lawn mower, his scooter, and his battle axe.

Happy Birthday Buddy, We love you!

Look Who's 5

It is true my baby is 5 years old. He is growing up so fast. Evan I love being your Mom and I hope the next 5 years are as fun as the first. You make me so proud and I love you so much!We had his birthday party at the house this year because of the weather. Luckily he was pretty flexible about his party. His favorite part of being 5 is that he gets to go to kindergarten this year. We were supposed to go camping for his birthday but because of the weather we did not, so I made s'more cupcakes to make up for roasting "smarshmellows" He loved them and they were so good; rich and sweet as ever but sooo good!Evan loves balloons! He had a great time playing balloon volleyball with his cousins
His new scooter!

Presents were his favorite part.

He loves his bubble machine. It is one of his new favorite toys. Bubbles, balloons, water guns, and riding his scooter and bike have turned out to be his favorite summertime toys.

You love: Changahoes with Fry Bread, Cereal, Mac N Cheese, and Cheeseburgers. You like to be in charge and play games with lots of rules. You are very loving and compassionate, your heart is so big and always willing to love. You love to sing, and to watch price is right with mom. You are very good at taking care of your brother and sister. You are a great helper to mom.
Daddy and Evan swaying to the music.

Evan you loved being 4. Some of your milestones this past year are:

Learning all your letters and sounds

Learning all your numbers

Growing 4 more inches

Playing T-ball, Wrestling, and Tumbling

Graduating Pre-school

Becoming a big brother again.

Moving Day

Soon after we found out we were expecting again; we knew that we needed to make more room in our home for the new baby. The boys have also been asking to share a room for awhile now so we decided the change would be better sooner than later. Russ taking apart Wyatt's bedMommy and Lola trying to stay out of the wayAs you can see Evan and Wyatt are really pretty jazzed about moving dayWyatt showing off his muscles Luckily his bed is really pretty easy to put together. We moved both boys into Evan's room because it is bigger. We are going to move Lola into Wyatt's old room and the nursery will belong to the new baby.
One of their favorite games is to jump from one bed to another. They do this forever and that first night they were up till about 11:30pm doing so. We finally had to reprimand them a little and they finally went to sleep.
Lola making a great supervisor! The boys love their new room and now that I'm not feeling so sick I'm excited to get started on Lola's new room as well as making the nursery a little more personal for the new baby.

Wrestling 2011

My camera takes the worst pictures in the gym so we took got most of his wrestling moments on video and only a few photos. This is at the Monticello tournament. Gearing up for his first match, the worst part of wrestling is the wait. This year I was more prepared than last which made it a little more bearable.
Evan won 2 matches and lost 2 which let him take 3rd in his bracket. He is so proud of his trophy.

Daddy helped with wrestling this year which really motivated Evan to do a little better and pay more attention in practice.
Showing off his trophy to Mom. I was so proud. He won one of the matches with a pin, and I sound so silly on the video I am so excited, proud, I start to tear up and you can totally hear it in my voice. As my hubby says there's no crying in wrestling! My boys are really going to toughen me up before they graduate from high school, but for now they tolerate the "happy tears"

The Little Joys in Life

These three little kids make my life fun, exciting, hectic, and always crazy. I wouldn't change any day I have to spend with them and I love them with all my heart. Watching Cartoons

Wyatt reading Lola a book
Playing Space Shuttle. They built it out of couch cushions and that afternoon visited the whole universe before Lola's nap time.

Playing with Woody and Cheezin it for Mom

Wyatt hunting deer, He can't wait for hunting season.

Lola's First Swim Day

After a long winter we decided we couldn't wait any longer to have some fun in the pool. We drove all the way to Cortez in order to do so. It was Lola's first time in the pool and she had a blast. Hangin out with mom
The boys at the bottom of the slide. They loved the slide as long as they had each other to go with.

They love the Cortez pool because it has a shallow end and they can touch the whole time.

Lola swimming with Daddy

Cute as a button!

Getting dry after lots of swimming

Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! Wyatt loves Toy Story, so of course this is his favorite towel.

All dry and ready to go home. The kids had so much fun and slept all the way home. Lola has turned out to be quite my swimmer. She sits awesome in her tube and kicks all over the pool while I help the boys with their swimming.
