Getting Dressed

Evan and Wyatt sleep upstairs and Evan has to walk across the tile floor every morning to get to our room. Needless to say the tile is cold. So he has gotten into the habit of putting socks on before he comes out of his room. He does this all by himself. He can undress himself pretty well but getting dressed is a little harder. It is so fun to watch him learn though. Most of the time his socks are backwards or inside out, but he likes to do it himself... and I appreciate his independance.

Cookies and Crumbs

Wyatt has been teething since he was about 4 months old. He now has 6 teeth and counting, anyway when he is at his Nali's she always has these special Gerber teething biscuits for him. He loves them, but there supposed to be hard to make his gums feel better. So by the time they dissolve there is always a huge mess.

This is what wipes and baths are for. Ha Ha!

A Wet Face...

A few days after Christmas we went sledding along with everyone else in Blanding. The hills that day were full of people because it wasn't too cold, and at this point we'd had over 2.5 feet of snow. We deicded to jump and the bandwagon and took Evan out sledding. He loved it, and he was quite the trooper. These were big hills, scary for a 2 year old to go down, and enormous for a 2 year old to climb up. He handled both with ease, he constantly amazes me. We told Evan to pose for a picture; and he didn't "pose," however he did manage to pick up a handful of snow (which he is holding now) and after the camera clicked I got a snowball in the face.

Because the sun was so bright that day Evan had his eyes closed most of the time. When we would go down the hill he would always cover his face because he didn't like the snow blowing up in his face on the way down. Making Snow Angels, notice the eyes are closed again.

Okay, so this is Turner trying to take the jump... didn't work out so well. He landed flat on his back. He tried to follow my grace and elegance, seeing as I went off the jump 2 minutes earlier. Just kidding. I did go off the jump but I landed flat on my hip with no grace what so ever.

Keith Christmas

After doing our own little Christmas at our house went went up to Russell's parents for presents and breakfast. I love this part of Christmas because it is goooood breakfast. The kind that we get at our house like once every three months if Mom cooks. Sometimes Russ will make breakfast for us; but his parent's make the best. Russell's Brother, Sister, and some of our neices.
I think this picture is so cute. Evan took his camera up to play with. He was so excited to show everyone his pictures. This picture captured him taking a picture of himself.... apparently he hasn't learned about the flash yet.

Since Russell was a kid his parents always buy these for Christmas. So far in my 6 years with the Keith's I've never been able to eat all of mine. Even Wyatt gets one. Evan was not shy at all, he dug right in and about a half hour later this is happened....

He was sticky from head to toe and the peppermint is stained into his jammies. I love it though and so did he. We had such a good time with his family this year; and we were so glad that all of his brother's and sister could be there.

Christmas Morning

To say the least there is lots of pictures. I hope you enjoy.

We had a great Christmas this year. The boys, Russ, and I loved being together; we also enjoyed spending time with Russ' family and his brothers who finally came home for Christmas. We spent the early morning at our house and did our own little Christmas.

Evan LOVED the bubbles that Santa left in his Stocking. The candy was also a big hit. He was running on sugar for a long time, but he was excited to have "lots" of candy that Mom let him eat.

Wyatt was less impressed with the candy, but loved the rice puffs Santa left.

Before the unwrapping commensed I wanted to get a picture of the boys in front of the tree, however they'd only been up for about 30 seconds or so and were cold, still trying to figure out what was going on, and tired of the flash. I think they look so cute.

Uncle Jason bought Evan a digital camera, he loves it! It was a huge hit. The memory card holds about 500 pictures.. by about noon he had take over 200 pics and needed a new set of batteries. It is so fun to see what he decides to capture on film.

This was a big deal! For any of you who know me, I am a little less than crafty. But for Christmas every year we make something special for each other. This was what I made for Russ. I was super enthused because it was my first one. All by myself! I think it turned out awesome, and so did he.

Wyatt loved the wrappings and bows more than the actual presents. He did open for awhle but after that he mostly just wanted to chew on the ribbon.

Santa brought Wyatt this toy. Evan was super excited. Wyatt likes it now a lot too, and it is fun to watch them play with it together.

Both of the boys got some "warm gear" for the winter weather we are having. Wyatt smiled for the picture but really doesn't like to wear his hat.

On Christmas we got a lot of snow, which was great for Evan to use his new stuff in. He just wanted to make sure that I got his bubbles in the picture. He was a little upset because I told him to put his bubbles down instead of letting him cover his face with them for the picture.

The boys had lots of fun with there toys. Wyatt wanted to put everything in his mouth. Evan loved to show him how stuff worked.

Evan loves to play in his ball pit. Wyatt likes it too. There is a hole in the top of the tree where you are supposed to throw the balls in or out. Evan got a pretend fishing pole also that day and he likes to fish inside that hole instead.

We loved being together as a family. Evan was so much fun this year, and is starting to learn who Santa is. One of my favorite things was teaching Evan and Wyatt the nativity story. I think by the end it was starting to sink in but when you would ask Evan about Christmas he would say that is was Jesus Christ's birthday, and I loved that. His little testimony is starting to grow, The Spirit of our Saviour is the true meaning of Christmas and I was glad we were able to partake of that Spirit together.

Rude Awakening..

Most young children and by young I mean 3 and under, don't really get the concept of waking up at 4:00am on Christmas morning. There content to wait and enjoy their sleep and then enjoy Christmas presents. On Christmas morning we wanted to let the boys sleep, however they decided to sleep later than usual (which always happens when were waiting for them to wake up) and Russ' family was waiting for us to come and eat breakfast and do presents so we woke them up around 7:00 ish. Me being the Mom that I am love to take pictures of my kids on Christmas... especially when they just wake up I think it is cute.

Wyatt was sound asleep and has no idea what was going on. He usually will wake up when the door knob turns so he really was zonked out.

Evan really didn't appreciate the nudge to wake up.

And he really hated the flash of the camera.
