The Hideout

We went golfing this year for Leland's birthday, our nearest golf course is in Monticello which is about 20 miles north. It is so pretty because the course sits next to the mountain so when you golf you always have lots of company from the wildlife. We saw lots of deer, usually we see turkeys too.
Leilani and I didn't golf we just drove, ate snacks, and chatted.... golfing doesn't get much better than that!Back with the real golfers... We had such a great time, thanks so much to Leland's dad for taking us; and to Leland's mom for volunteering to watch all the kids. We had a ton of fun.

Chuck E Cheese

One of the greatest parts of being a parent is you get to experience your childhood again with your kids; and one of my favorite childhood places is.... Chuck E Cheese! We had so much fun!Wyatt was so excited from the moment we walked in the atmosphere was intoxicating for all of us. The excitement just rolls through you. As you can see we only kept the kids at the table for awhile and I don't think more than 2 bites were taken the whole night. Thank goodness for my Mom who was gracious enough to hang out with Lola while we played. Evan with his look of pure focus!

He loved all the games. What was the most fun was that there were games for his age, Wyatt's age, and Russ, Jason, Jordan, and I had a blast pretending to supervise but mostly playing as many games as we could get in.

Wyatt loved all the riding toys. The horse was probably the most scary for him but he still was brave and tried it out.

I love the CIRCUS! I have never been to a circus before so while we were up north last time my mom, Jordan, the boys, and I went to the circus. It was great! I think I enjoyed it more than my kids. Of course we had to ride the train into downtown salt lake, it is always Evan's favorite.Waiting outside to get in. We went during the afternoon and both kids were super tired. Wyatt wanted to be held and Evan didn't want to have anything to do with anything. Jordan and I were trying to get them excited to go in. Evan's cute clown nose..... oops, oh well! These noses would not stay on for anything and they stunk like rubber, but they were a favorite toy around our house for a week; so they served their purpose.

I loved the elephants, and at the last part of the show they brought out the new member of the circus, who was the brand new baby elephant. She was so cute!

Evan's favorite part of the circus was when the motorcycles drove around in circles in the tiny little ball. Wyatt's favorite part was the tigers. Wyatt usually loves motorcycles so I tried to get him to sit on this one with one of the drivers. As you can tell nap time tiredness took over and this was the best shot we got.

This is probably the least flattering photo, but I think Wyatt's face says it all. I was trying to get a cute clown nose picture for him and I.... you can see the strain in my face trying to keep my nose from falling off and Wyatt is clearly checked out for the day.

These guys were my favorite. They were so tall and had no concern of where they were walking. (of course they knew what they were doing) but it made me so nervous to watch them. A few times they walked right over top of us. I thought it was so cool!

As you can see Evan's attitude isn't much better. He didn't want to really do any of the pre-show stuff so him and my mom got treats and enjoyed the pre-show from their seats. Thanks so much to Mom and Jordan we were able to have a great time. After the pre-show they ask you to turn off your camera, so we didn't get anymore pictures, but the show was great. The boys loved the circus but I think more than that they loved the snacks and being out and about. I love that they are getting old enough for us to do more things and I think they are enjoying all the new experiences.

The kids love to go to the park, and if they have a choice their favorite park is the one at the elementary school; which I have to say they do have some fun toys. Last weekend we went out and spent sometime playing before it got too hot and we had to come home. Evan and Wyatt at the top of the chain climb Wyatt loves to play with balls. He is a big soccer fan.

They call this the zipper, it is pretty fun. You hang and it slides across the top and then slides back kind of like a two way zip line. Wyatt didn't like it very much. This one is my favorite but trying to hold my own body weight seems to be totally different now than when I was 10.

Lola's Blessing

Lola's blessing day was September 5th 2010. She is so gorgeous, It still amazes me how beautiful she is. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed my life with her, and her brothers. Lola in her dress, Her Chee made her little baby bracelet, and my uncle Curtis made her beautiful moccasins. The blanket is actually mine from my blessing day many moons ago. She was a little unsure about all the lace and frills. She was also a little bit unsure about all the attention and people at our house. This day was fun for me because I got to put her in the beautiful frilly dress which I've never done before, to say the least she was tolerant bless her heart; but not too happy about all the fluff and frill around her cheeks. She just got more agitated when we strapped her in her car seat to take her to church. I did have a pretty little bow to put in her hair but she was not willing to wear it. Daddy and his little princess!

At this point in my life I could not imagine life being any greater. Blessing a new baby is always a spiritually uplifting experience. When I look in her eyes I can see the love of my Heavenly Father. Little girls are so special, and it has been wonderful partaking of her spirit in our home. She is full love, joy, and trust which never faileth. She will forever be my first girl and that is a bond that I hope we can grow and cultivate over our time on this earth. I love her with all my heart and am so grateful for her in my life.
