Excluding Christmas I think my kid's favorite holiday is always the 4th of July. Blanding always does a down home, big, fun festival and we take apart in as much as we can. Where the 4th was on a Monday this year we had an extra long celebration as festivities were held part of Friday night and into Monday. We had lots of little fireworks which the kids were so excited about.

Evan "hamming" it up for the camera

At first they were a little nervous and kept there distance. By the end of the night, however, they were chasing them and we really had to keep an eye on them

Showing off some of their favorites

These ones were loud. By the 24th this year however the loud screamers were their new favorites.

Throwing colored smoke bombs in the dark. They couldn't wait for day to throw them so we threw them in the dark and had fun guessing what color the smoke was.

Sparklers..always a classic
