After the race we got ready for the parade.

Whenever "floats" would come by that squirted water Wyatt had to take his shirt off and put on his goggles just in case he got wet. He is so funny!

Loving spending time with her family. All of Russ' family watches the parade together and we spent most of the weekend together as well. It is always special for our kids because they love hanging out with cousins and grandparents.

Later that day we went to the park, had lunch, and lots and lots of snow cones; it was super hot. There were lots of booths and fun carnival rides for the kids, Russ and Evan stayed all day and watched Summer and Turner play in a volleyball tournament. Lola and I came home for a nap and went back out for dinner, concert in the park, and fireworks.
Staying hydrated with Grandma
I think all the kids were 50% water and 50 % snow cone syrup by the end of the day.

We had a great time this year; Russ' family played in the all night softball tournament (I think they took 3rd), Races, Fireworks, and just hanging out and playing games are some of our favorite traditions, which is what Freedom is all about... Family.
